We are looking for someone who is eligible forLicensed Social Worker or Licensed Clinical Mental Health Workerfor Ashuelot Valley Academy. The position will involve providing individual counseling, group counseling, developing a behavioral support plan, and crisis management. Our clinicians work with students grade 5-12 to support them with social skills and emotion regulation in theMondaythrough Friday academic day program with no nights and weekends required. Located in Keene, NH, Ashuelot Valley Academy (AVA) is a co-ed day school serving students in grades 5-12. As part of Mount Prospect Academy, Inc., AVA is a NHDOE-approved Non-Public School and Special Education Program.
At AVA, students live at home and attend their academic programs on campus. We pride ourselves on maintaining a high faculty-to-student ratio, ensuring personalized attention for each student.
AVA is a therapeutic school that recognizes the challenges students face when emotional or mental health needs interfere with learning. Our teachers provide competency-based instruction and employ innovative strategies tailored to non-traditional learners, all while being supported by trained mental health professionals. We offer individualized academic support services and ensure our students have full access to the general education curriculum as outlined by New Hampshire curriculum standards.
Academic engagement is a crucial part of our treatment plans. We consider each student's family and sending school district as key stakeholders in all planning efforts. Students are enrolled in the appropriate academic classes based on their sending school district's graduation requirements and AVA's recommendations. AVA awards graduates with a high school diploma that meets New Hampshire state minimum standards.

The School Based Clinician role is to provide culturally sensitive, therapeutic service to the students withintheircaseload. Clinicians use formal counseling and therapy techniques in a school setting. Clinicians help establish lifelong connections, providing clinical support for youths and their families. They assist in overcoming obstacles, identifying strengths and developing supports to ensure the youth overcome their challenges and achieve success. We use a wide variety of approaches and support student programming while modeling socially acceptable behaviors.
We provide appropriate counseling to help students build the skills they need to return to public school or graduate with a high school diploma. Clinicians build a positive therapeutic rapport with their assigned students while working to enhance accountability through utilization of restorative circle work. Clinicians are the overarching facilitator of youth treatment and relay the goals and objectives within the treatment plan to the respective treatment team members. The Clinician provides training regarding effective treatment modalities to the faculty members that aids in driving the treatment of the student. The Clinician provides documentation via DAP notes in the documentation system for individual sessions, group counseling notes for situations where there is more than one student as well as completes assigned documentation tasks. The Clinician meets with the respective treatment team members to assist in reaching the students' goals. Common responsibilities include development and implementation of treatment plans, behavioral support plans, and safety plans.

- Responsible for ensuring academic staff adhere to the appropriate programming and treatment plans for the individual.
- Working with students and staff on development of short-term treatment plans.
- Individual and group counseling sessions in the school setting.

Qualifications/Requirements:
- Master's Degree in social work, psychology, counseling, or related field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience counseling adolescents and/or families preferred.
