Assistant Quality Manager
Location: Anderson, SC / Greenville, SC
Salary: $125,000 - $135,000 + bonus
Summary: Join a dynamic Quality Team as an Assistant Quality Manager in a large manufacturing operation. Oversee various processes including steel fabrication, stamping, and welding. Ensure product and process quality meets customer requirements, create new quality standards, and track improvements.
Responsibilities:
- Develop/approve gauging for new and existing programs.
- Perform audits and manage relationships with customers and suppliers.
- Lead problem-solving activities using root cause analysis tools.
- Support product launches and engineering changes.
- Utilize AIAG Core Tools (APQP, FMEA, MSA, SPC).
- Prepare inspection instructions, visual aids, and check sheets.
- Participate in meetings and work with SAP for quality standards.
- Develop APQP documentation and maintain these documents.
- Schedule and lead annual FMEA reviews.
- Manage supplier controls and corrective actions.
- Oversee PPAP sample submissions and safety policies.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years in manufacturing quality roles.
- Knowledge of automotive quality systems and stamping.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Ability to read blueprints and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
