We are seeking a CMT Lab Manager to join our Dripping Springs, TX team! Come join us!
Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:
The Laboratory Manager will manage all activities related to performance of laboratory testing on the following construction materials: soils, aggregates, concrete, mortar, asphalt, etc. They will meet agreed upon project deadlines by performing testing; scheduling technicians and managing workload; They will confirm that technicians correctly perform testing, calibrations, and calculations and computations by implementing and maintaining the requirements of the Atlas Quality Management System; and train, coordinate and supervise assigned staff.
Works independently, using industry knowledge to solve problems of moderate scope. The successful candidate will bring strong leadership and knowledge of commercial laboratory operations. The position includes maintaining the laboratory’s accreditations by continuing with the upkeep of documents such as equipment calibrations, test results, and evaluations. Performs other job responsibilities as assigned.
Minimum Requirements:
• High School Graduate
• Experience as a CMT lab technician or Supervisor
• Communicate effectively
• Follow verbal and written instructions
• Maintaining effective working relationships with others
• Prepare and maintain proprietary records, files and reports
• Move up to 50lbs daily
• The use of company computers and applicable programs, applications and systems
Other Miscellaneous Qualities:
• Supervise and manage laboratory professionals
• Review and accept weekly time sheets
• Familiarity with Lab Information Management Systems (LIMS)
• Ability to travel 10% of the time
• Ability to obtain missing certification (technical requirements) within 3 months of hire
