Position Summary
Guttman Energy, located in Belle Vernon Pennsylvania, seeks an individual with experience as an Information Technology Director, responsible for maintaining Information Technology strategies by managing staff and implementing technological strategies. This role is responsible for managing the information technology resources and projects and acting as liaison between business partners, vendors, and consultants. A member of The Guttman Group of Companies, The Information Technology Director will manage and provide hardware and software maintenance, training and consultation, and management and development of resources in an effective and efficient manner. This individual will maintain information technology strategies by managing staff and implementing technological solutions.
Primary Responsibilities
· Works closely with the Leadership team to establish project priorities, and report on the status of these priorities.
· Responsible for designing and implementing ground up application development utilizing full stack development protocols and leveraging the in-house development team to solve problems and bring efficiencies to the organization.
· Oversees all IT infrastructure for the company including all desktop, network and cloud infrastructure as well as maintaining a strong relationship with our Infrastructure managed services partner.
· Responsible for all cyber security for the company ensuring all company assets are protected by implementing and maintaining world class solutions and processes including training and testing of company personnel. This includes cybersecurity training and awareness for all Company employees.
· Completes projects by coordinating resources and timetables with user departments
· Preserves assets by implementing and maintaining and testing disaster recovery and back-up procedures and implementing information security and control structures.
· Works with project teams to help implement systems and modifications.
· Oversees all help desk activities.
· Responds to escalated help desk issues.
· Build and maintain vendor relationships and manages the purchase of hardware and software products.
· Manages the purchasing of all software, hardware, and other IT supplies.
· Ensures that company assets are maintained responsibly.
· Accomplishes information technology staff development by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; initiating, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures.
· Maintains staff assisting in recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees, maintaining a safe and secure work environment.
· Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Education:
- Requires a bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university with a major in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
Experience:
· 10-15 years professional Information Technology experience. At least 5 years in IT management.
· Thorough knowledge of application development, Networking, cyber security, infrastructure, cloud computing, system development lifecycles, and project management.
· Experience with the Help Desk function.
· Strong experience with problem solving and troubleshooting.
