Senior Vice President of Development

Our client, a non-profit organization that provides experiential learning to students with the goal of fostering work-readiness, entrepreneurship and financial literacy skills, has an opportunity available for a Senior VP of Development.
Reporting to the President, the SVP of Development is a key leadership position responsible for developing and executing comprehensive fundraising strategies to support the organization's mission and growth objectives. This role involves leading a team to cultivate relationships with donors, corporate partners, foundations, special event participants, and other stakeholders to secure financial support and advance the organization's impact in the community. By leading a strategic and results-driven development team, this executive strengthens the organization's capacity to empower young people with the knowledge and skills they need to succeed and meet their futures with confidence and purpose.
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in nonprofit management, business administration, marketing, or a related field.
• Minimum of 7 years' experience in nonprofit fundraising, with a proven track record of success in securing major gifts, grants, and corporate sponsorships.
• Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team to achieve fundraising goals.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders.
• Strategic thinker with the ability to develop and execute innovative fundraising strategies.
• Knowledge of fundraising best practices, donor stewardship principles, and ethical standards.
• Familiarity with fundraising software and databases for donor management and tracking.
• Willingness to travel locally and nationally as needed.
