Our Challenge:
As a QE Automation, you will collaborate with stakeholders across the business to work on complex technical requirements. You will be responsible for managing multiple engagements, prioritize and resolve complex problems and escalate as necessary, in a fast-paced environment.
The Role
Responsibilities:
- Lead the creation and evolution of automated test frameworks that support complex software application testing.
- Design, develop, and execute automated tests to validate applications against a variety of requirements.
- Drive the integration of automated testing into CI/CD pipelines to facilitate continuous testing and feedback.
- Mentor and guide a team of automation engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence and innovation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Analyze and decompose a complicated software system and design a strategy to test this system.
- Stay at the forefront of automation trends and incorporate this knowledge into the team’s testing approach.
- Conduct root cause analysis for defects and provide process improvement suggestions to eliminate future occurrences of similar issues.
- Review and enhance current automation strategies and test plans to ensure maximum coverage and efficiency.
- Lead the selection of automation tools and the development of quality metrics to ensure continuous improvement in processes and outcomes.
- Report and manage software issues and test activities throughout the software development lifecycle.
Requirements:
You are:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- A minimum of 8 years’ experience in quality engineering with a focus on test automation.
- Demonstrated expertise in automation testing tools and frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Appium, Cucumber).
- Proficient in programming languages relevant to test automation such as Java, Python, or C#.
- Extensive knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
- Strong experience with CI/CD systems and version control tools like Git.
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and other containerization and orchestration technologies.
- Excellent analytical skills with a proven ability to identify, scrutinize, improve, and streamline complex work processes.
It would be great if you also had:
- Recognized certifications in quality assurance and test automation (e.g., ISTQB, CSTE).
- Proficiency in performance and security testing tools and practices.
- Leadership experience and proven track record in mentoring and guiding teams.
