Must Haves:
5+ years of IT infrastructure project management experience
3+ years of PM healthcare experience
Vendor & financial management experience
Strong experience with understanding needs, defining requirements, and identifying effective solutions
Prior IT Facilities Planning, Design and Construction experience
Must have experience managing and driving all phases of project lifecycle
Initiate, Plan, & Organize
Schematic & Detail design,
Implement and Close
- Bachelor's Degree in IT, Business, or related field
Plusses:
- PMP Certification
- Experience managing infrastructure projects for a research facility
Day-2-Day:
An employer is seeking a Sr. IT Project Manager in the Greater Seattle Area. Under the direction of IT Facilities management, the Project Manager will oversee the planning, schedules, budgets and coordination of all IT-related work across various projects. These projects will be supporting new and upgraded builds for the Research Division at a large healthcare organization. This position requires facilitation of work across multiple IT groups and is considered the single point of contact for IT activities on the projects, as assigned. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Create and manage overall project schedule with detailed work activities, aligning project resources and reporting on milestones.
- Manage all phases of project lifecycle (Initiate, Plan & Organize, Design [Schematic and Detail], Implement and Close).
- Manage resource plan changes and actively work to mitigate impacts to the project schedule.
- Proactively track and manage project issues and risks from identification to resolution with continuous communications with IT key stakeholders.
- Develop and manage project budget and associated IT resource forecasting.
- Manage high level project status in IT PMO project portfolio and bi-weekly status reporting.
- Ensure the organization is meeting IT infrastructure requirements, organizing infrastructure work plans, oversight of implementation work and teams are charging their efforts to the correct project code.
- Partner with the project IT Project Coordinator for procurement, tracking and delivery of products and services associated with all IT components of the project.
