General Description:
A successful candidate will enjoy working in a challenging and progressive environment, in which "turnkey" integrated systems are designed, deployed, and commissioned. Candidate will gain professional and technical experience working in a cross-functional team environment learning to manage and prioritize multiple tasks.
Responsibilities include, but not limited to the following:
- Management of assigned project portfolio. Total portfolio revenue expectations to manage ranges from $5-$15mil.
- Supervise and direct project team during planning, estimating, design, installation, start-up, commissioning, turnover, and warranty of assigned projects.
- Build and develop the project team to ensure maximum performance by providing purpose, direction, and motivation.
- Coordination and management of resource assignments based upon project requirements and technician skillset.
- Manage the development of project plans prior to project activity assuring effective execution by the project team. Prepare and update project schedule and cost estimates.
- Coordinate and provide direction for the budget estimating, purchasing, engineering, accounting, cost, and construction (as applicable) functions as they relate to project completion. Oversee and coordinate all equipment procurement and associated delivery cycles.
- Project administration (meeting coordination, construction schedules, transmittals, RFI’s, change management, punch lists).
- Support Service Department as necessary with issues arising from recently deployed or turned over systems.
- Assist in daily Maine Office logistics- focus on optimizing processes, managing inventory, and ensuring efficient office operations for Maine Branch.
- Plan, organize, and oversee all Maine Branch logistics and operations to ensure efficient and timely delivery of goods/ material as necessary.
Work Experience Requirements:
- 2-4 years’ experience leading projects as a Project Manager with a strong foundational knowledge of project execution, initiation, planning, design, execution, monitoring, controlling and closure.
- 2-4 years construction management related experience considered a plus.
Skill Requirements:
- Strong foundational knowledge of Project Management processes, procedures, methods, and techniques.
- Proficient with CRM or ERP software including resource scheduling tools and material management.
- Experience leading security, communications, audiovisual and healthcare projects is strongly preferred, however not required.
- Proficient with computers and basic Microsoft Windows applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), including mobile applications.
- Must be able to demonstrate persistence, tactfulness and responsibility; maintain silence regarding confidential information; make decisions based on personal judgment and verifiable criteria; deal effectively with people in actual job duties beyond giving and receiving instructions; perceive details in a variety of written materials; communicate effectively; understand and apply proper terminology and methods; reason clearly and logically; work with numbers; read and interpret reports; communicate well.
- Must be self-motivated and must work well with others in a team environment.
- Must possess strong written and oral communications skills.
- Proven success working with all levels of management.
- Experience of customer retention and satisfaction.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to see and hear (naturally or with correction); speak clearly; coordinate eye-hand movements and use fingers skillfully; sit for long periods of time.
- Must be able to work in a small warehouse environment, which may involve loud noises.
Education/License Requirements:
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management or equivalent work experience or related curriculum.
- Industry Project Management Certifications such as a PMI CAPM, PMI PMP, Avixa CTS or CSPM welcomed but not required.
- OSHA 10 required.
- Valid Drivers License Required.
Comments:
- Must be able to travel throughout New England as projects require (MA, NH, ME).
- Must have a reliable form of transportation.
- Must be able to work a hybrid schedule between remote/ in-home office and Maine Office Branch, located in South Portland, ME.
- Position will require occasional travel to client and project locations to deliver goods/ material as needed.
