A dynamic and well-established Insurance Company is seeking a motivated Senior Attorney to join their growing team. This is an exciting opportunity for an attorney with 5+ years of experience to help support and manage a team of associates.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a team of attorneys
- Legal Research and Analysis
- Drafting Legal Documents: Prepare pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents for court proceedings and transactions
- Client Communication
- Assist in the discovery process
- Represent clients in court hearings, depositions, and other legal proceedings under the guidance of senior attorneys
- Manage and organize case files, maintain deadlines, and keep clients informed about the status of their cases
- Participate in negotiations, mediations, and arbitrations to resolve disputes efficiently
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
- 5+ years previous experience handling insurance defense
- Admission to the Michigan Bar in good standing
- 5+ years of experience in litigation
- Strong legal research and writing skills
- Excellent communication and negotiation abilities
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
