We are looking for a Technical Program Manager who enjoys being involved in to the technical details of infrared image sensors, integrated circuits, electronics, software and cryogenic sensor test units with the team while keeping everyone organized and on plan. As a Technical Program Manager, you will be responsible for execution and management of developmental programs. You will work closely with our supportive team of engineers and physicists to navigate the best path for Senseeker’s customers. You will find yourself immersed in cutting edge infrared image sensing technologies and need to be comfortable taking on some of the systems engineering tasks associated with infrared sensing. Responsibilities will also include managing cost, schedule, milestone deliveries and customer communication as well as contributing to new business proposal planning and project setup. You will manage program resources through the company ERP while reporting status and elevating execution issues to senior management in a timely manner.
Work Experience: At least 5 years of industry experience in a related field to include a minimum of 2 years of program management experience and 2 years of infrared or image sensor systems engineering experience.
Required Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or related fields.
Preferred Education: Advanced degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or related fields, PMP cert.
Job Responsibilities
- Work with Customers, Engineering and Business Development to construct new programs
- Work with Operations to ensure materials for project milestones are available and will meet schedule
- Work with Engineering and Finance to plan, track, and manage project budgets from proposal phase to final milestone deliveries
- Build schedules and manage resources for multiple projects with input from the technical teams
- Ensure all Phase Gate and Contract Deliverable requirements are met for each project
- Openly and expertly communicate with customers, help write reports, and ensure on-time submissions
- Update executive management regularly on program cost, schedule and technical performance while elevating any pop-up issues so they may be dealt with in a timely manner
- Build and flow specifications to IC design, mechanical design, software design, electronics design and test from higher level program specifications
Required Attributes:
- US Person status required, pursuant to the terms of government contracts with Senseeker*
- Experience in design of infrared or image sensing systems or multiple components of those systems
- Experienced in design and development engineering
- Excellent teamwork skills, good presentation, written and verbal communication
- Strong time management skills to prevent last minute work, with flexibility to move fast when needed
- Proactive personality with the ability to work with remote teams and team members
- Willingness to travel for customer meetings as required
Desired Attributes:
- Active or recently inactive US DoD Secret security clearance
- Advanced knowledge of infrared image sensing components and systems
- Experience in the Semiconductor or Sensor design industries with fabless design business models
- Experience working with US Government contracts with knowledge of FAR and DFAR requirements
- Experience working with ERPs, and specifically Accumatica-based JAMIS Prime
Job Type and Location: Full-time, on-site/hybrid, in Santa Barbara, CA, USA
Base Salary Range: $130k - $230k per year
