Catering Support Specialist
Location: Austin, Hybrid
Position Type: 3 Month Contract
Job Summary: Client is seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented contractor to support our Catering Team. This role is critical to meeting key objectives for our catering program, which is central to accelerating store sales growth. The primary responsibilities include handling manual tasks with a strong emphasis on accuracy and precision, such as quality assurance for the customer eCommerce experience and overseeing order close-outs—all performed remotely. The ideal candidate will excel in detail-oriented tasks and be flexible to work evening hours remotely.
Key Responsibilities:
- Quality Assurance (QA) for eCommerce:
- Conduct thorough QA checks of the eCommerce platform for catering customers, ensuring all processes and interfaces are functioning correctly.
- Identify, document, and report any discrepancies or issues with the online ordering system.
- Leads customer-centric seasonal and product-driven site merchandising execution for medium-to-large-scale programs across one or more Client eCommerce touchpoints.
- Analyzes customer behavior and digital metrics; interprets results and creates recommendations to guide future ecommerce strategy development and program execution.
- Experiments with and recommends alternative ways to leverage site merchandising and catalog executions to the advantage of WFM customers, programs, and values
- Order Close-Out Review:
- Oversee the manual close-out process for catering orders during evening hours, ensuring accuracy and completeness in all steps.
- Verify that orders are processed correctly, documented thoroughly, and resolve any issues as needed.
- Attention to Detail:
- Perform all manual tasks with a high level of precision, focusing on accuracy and thoroughness.
Skills:
- High school diploma or equivalent; relevant certifications or training in QA, customer service, or a related field are a plus. Associate or college degree preferred.
- Proven strong attention to detail and ability to manage manual tasks with precision.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact effectively with internal teams.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office for order management and data entry.
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills, with a focus on accuracy and efficiency.
- Ability to work independently and handle tasks remotely, with flexibility for evening hours.
- Able to identify alignment / misalignment of team project goals with larger organizational strategy, goals, and objectives.
- Ability to keep projects on track financially, creatively, and in accordance with stakeholder objectives and deadlines.
- Understands standard project management methodologies and requirements.
- Ability to plan, estimate, organize, and monitor projects
Education & Experience:
BA/BS degree and 2-4 years’ relevant experience OR equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
