Position: Cyber Security Engineer
Location: Hybrid - 2 days per week onsite in Monrovia, CA
Length: 6-month contract to start + extensions
Pay Rate: Targeting $75-$85 per hour
Job Description:
We are looking for a Cyber Security Engineer with a broad range of experience across various cyber security domains, including identity management, network security, endpoint protection, and cloud security. While proficiency in all these areas is not required, a strong foundation in cyber security and a keen interest in learning and adapting are essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and maintain security solutions for identity management, network security, endpoint protection, and cloud environments.
- Monitor, analyze, and respond to security incidents and threats.
- Collaborate with team members to enhance security posture and address vulnerabilities.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest security trends, technologies, and threats.
- Contribute to the development and refinement of security policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Provide expertise and guidance on security-related issues to other teams and stakeholders.
- Participate in security assessments, audits, and compliance activities.
Qualifications:
- Several years of experience in cyber security with exposure to identity management, network security, endpoint protection, and cloud security.
- Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies and challenges.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Preferred: One or more of the following certifications – OCSP (Offensive Security Certified Professional), CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional), or CySa+ (CompTIA Cybersecurity Analyst).
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative team approach.
- Ability to work onsite at least 2 days a week
