Our client, a global leader in Commercial Real Estate and Facilities Management is a Mechanical/Electrical Technician due to business growth in the Data Center practice. This full-time role will work onsite in Delaware, OH, pays $42.90 per hour and seeks candidates with to work 3rd shift hours – 7pm – 7am with rotation that includes some weekend work. This role contains an ample vacation plan and a strong benefit package.
The key to this role is utilization of Mechanical and Electrical skills to perform preventative maintenance and corrective repairs in a Data Center operation.
This role:
- Delivers oversight of electrical and mechanical systems, including but not limited to: Universal Power Supply (UPS) systems, generators, chillers, Electrical Distribution, HVAC systems, Building Management Systems (BMS) systems, and CMMS Work Dispatching.
- Performs daily site inspections of all Mechanical & Engineering (M&E) systems and technical equipment, including servicing and maintenance.
- Completes assigned work according to established processes and procedures in accordance with Environment, Health, and Safety Policy - ensuring all safety processes and PPE requirements are followed.
- Oversees third-party vendors, ensuring compliance with organizational developed processes, procedures, and all applicable laws/regulations.
- Accompanies vendors on site visits on an as needed basis and ensure site standards are met.
- Creates and develops work processes, Job Hazard Analysis reports, and SOPs for critical work with risk assessment. Ensure that CERM documents and logbooks are updated.
- Completes all required training to ensure successful completion of all job-related responsibilities.
QUALIFICATIONS
- 2+ years experience in either the Mechanical or Electrical trade with ability to learn Data Center Operations.
PREFERRED
- Experience working in a Data Center environment preferred
- Knowledge of emergency response/standby/call out activities and protocols prefrred
- Knowledge of Critical Facility and Data Center equipment and components including UPS, PDU, STS, EG, CRAC, CRAH preferred
- Understanding of 24/7/365 Data Center environments, and the working restrictions applicable to such environments preferred.
