TECHNICAL SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
10+ years’ experience managing medium and large projects or teams in an IT Professional Services business or in an IT organization or in a related field is required.
Analytical and problem-solving skills and experiences are required.
A broad understanding of IT organizations is highly preferred.
A broad understanding of IT infrastructures and technologies is preferred.
Familiarity and experiences with IT management tools is preferred. Service Now, Open Air / NetSuite are a plus.
PMP certification is preferred. Agile / Scrum is also a plus.
BUSINESS MANAGEMENT SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
Strong written and oral communication skills and experiences are required.
Attention to detail and organizational skills are required.
Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, and Project proficiencies are required. Other project management tools are a plus.
Understanding contracts (statements of work) and experience managing scope is highly preferred. Writing such contracts or Project Changes Requests is a plus.
Documentation skills and experiences are highly preferred.
Presentation skills and experiences are highly preferred.
Leadership skills and experiences are highly preferred.
Experience working collaboratively with multiple cross-functional teams is highly preferred.
Client management and relationship development is a plus.
Experience with executive leadership is a plus.
EDUCATION
A bachelor’s degree is highly preferred. A business degree is a plus.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Take ownership of projects to meet or exceed customer expectations while maintaining expectations.
Manage the contract. Address and resolve scope, budget, and schedule issues as they arise. Escalate as appropriate.
Develop and manage the project lifecycle and documents such as project plan, work breakdown structure, issue management log, risk mitigation matrix, change control documentation, status reports, meeting minutes, project budgets, resource plans & completion report.
Manage and coordinate the activities of internal and external technical staff. Consult and collaborate with various project resources throughout project lifecycle through closeout activities.
Analyze complex business needs and facilitate concurrence among stakeholders.
Provide routine status updates to customers, management, and business partners.
Maintain internal business requirements and updates for management and operations.
Contribute to the development, promotion, and enforcement of project management standards and best practices for team.
Must be able to travel as required by business needs. Current travel across the team is less than 20% annually.
