Description:
- Involves managing technical projects having a defined beginning and end.
- Manages the project's framework processes and methodologies involving departmental or cross-functional teams.
- Plans, coordinates and monitors scope, requirements, schedules, budgets, resources, tasks, risks, staff, and deliverables.
- Monitors the project from initiation through completion.
- Organizes and leads activities relating to the management and completion of projects.
- Applies advanced technical project management frameworks and methods in conjunction with company objectives to plan and execute enterprise administrative application domains (Finance, HR, Student Systems, Supply Chain and Research) projects.
- Experienced technical/functional professional who can resolve highly complex issues where the analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.
- Determines methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria to obtain results and manages projects of broad and diverse scope, size, impact, budget, and/or project team size with considerable effect on the organization.
- Manage portions of the project lifecycle of a significant re-implementation of our ERP ecosystem, from project definition through implementation and post-implementation support.
- The scope of this project includes the transition to the new ERP platform itself as well as the associated development of required custom functionality, reporting, interfaces, and other applications and middleware to replace previous customizations and other end-of-life business systems that comprise the enterprise systems environment.
- The person in this role will be accountable for ensuring the project meets agreed-upon scope, cost, schedule, and quality measures.
- Determines methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria to obtain results.
- Manages projects of broad and diverse scope, size, impact, budget and / or project team size, with considerable impact to the organization.
- 30% - Provides leadership on the full workstream for the ERP project related to the design, development, and implementation. Documents and escalates project risks and issues for mitigation.
- 25% - Within diverse cross-functional teams focused on the ERP projects, uses an inclusive, team-based approach to develop and coordinate detailed project plans, establish milestones and timelines, enforce project deadlines and schedules, and monitor budget and resource requirements, with the goal of completing the projects to the highest quality, on schedule and within budget.
- 25% - Applies current IT Project Management Office standards and procedures to the ERP projects, liaises, communicates, and builds partnerships within company and the broader company community to plan and execute ERP projects, with overall project management responsibility for these efforts from initiation to completion.
- 15% - Gathers, analyzes, and synthesizes complex data and information in reports, presentations, and other formats to communicate project details, status, results, and lessons learned to IT leadership as well as to departmental stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in related area and / or equivalent experience / training.
- Professional Project Management (PMP) or 8+ years of relevant project management experience.
- Requires advanced knowledge of project management principles, theories, and concepts.
- Requires previous experience with ERP/administrative system implementation in healthcare, higher education, and research setting.
- Extensive administrative systems experience, a thorough understanding of the interdependencies among systems and processes.
- Knowledge of higher education and medical entities' financial and administrative needs, and strong leadership, communication, and project management skills to identify and resolve issues, develop deliverables and timelines, manage stakeholder expectations, and handle post-deployment adjustments.
- Requires advanced knowledge of project management principles, theories, and concepts.
- Demonstrated capacity to anticipate obstacles and plan for contingencies.
- Demonstrated attention to detail. Demonstrated ability to determine relevance and prioritize tasks.

- 5+ years of experience managing projects in Enterprise Applications.
- Previous leadership of at least one company wide ERP implementation or similar large scale, multi-year cross functional systems integration and project implementation (in a health care setting is preferred).
- Experience/ knowledge of major ERP and HCM platforms (e.g., PeopleSoft, Oracle, Workday).
- Ability to understand and work with complex and challenging business processes and technical environments.
- Ability to work in a highly collaborative manner to achieve results that are significant in scope.
- Exposure to managing projects with infrastructure/hosting/cloud platform elements.
- Strong knowledge of definitions and uses of data, financial and reporting systems, information flow, and data architecture. Competency in query functions and language, and basic data modeling.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certified Scrum Master (CSM).
- Advanced knowledge of all aspects of computing and communications including hardware infrastructure, networking, software, operations, and disaster recovery.
