Title: Electro-Mechanical Technician
Location: Houston, TX
Type of Employment: Contract to hire
Working Hours: Rotating Shift: 7 days on and 7 days off
Wednesday through Tuesday. Must be able to work the day shift (7 am-7 pm), or the night shift (7 pm-7 am). About 10-20 hours of overtime on a weekly-basis.
Must be able to work overtime and weekends if needed

Job Summary
This role will assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus, and fixtures.
Job Description
Maintain electrical equipment to meet regulatory codes at the country, state, and federal levels
Perform safety-related functions and other miscellaneous electrical functions
Competent with the configuration of VFDs
Must possess a demonstrated ability to safely utilize a forklift and high lift
Knowledge and ability to troubleshoot PLCs
Must be physically capable of performing work from ladders, scaffolds, and roofs to install, maintain, or repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures
Proficient in testing and troubleshooting electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures, using testing devices such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, and megaohm meters, to ensure compatibility and safety of the system
Utilizing a systematic approach to troubleshoot, problem-solve, and avoid replacing parts
Skills Required
Must have 3-5 years of experience working in an environment with PLC and 24V troubleshooting. This is a hard requirement and must clearly show on all resumes
Must have experience working on automated machines. This is a hard requirement and must clearly show on all resumes
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics
Candidates submitted at the top end of the pay range should have 5-6 years of experience
Must have stable work tenure. Avoid job hoppers that have moved jobs every 6 months
Must have the flexibility to work different schedules if needed.
Electrician license is highly preferred, not required
