Junior Transport NOC Engineer- Fully onsite- Little Rock, AR
No C2C, only W2 candidates
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and maintain IP routing and Ethernet switching solutions.
- Configure and manage Palo Alto Firewalls to ensure robust network security.
- Collaborate with ISPs and telecommunications providers to manage transport networks utilizing Ciena, Nokia, and other technologies.
- Troubleshoot and resolve network issues promptiy to minimize downtime and ensure optimal performance.
- Perform network assessments and develop strategies for improvement and scaling as necessary.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of network systems with business applications.
- Document network configurations, standards, and procedures for future reference and training.
- Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in network technologies, including Passive Optical Networking.
Key Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in network engineering with a focus on IP routing and Ethernet switching.
- Proven experience with Palo Alto Firewall configuration and mon ysement.
- Strong understanding of ISP transport technologies and related platforms such as Ciena and Nokia.
- Familiarity with Passive Optical Networking (PON) technologies is a plus.
- Networking certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent are highly desirable.
- Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
