Position Overview:
We are seeking a Vice President of MAC Software Development to lead and innovate in the development of MAC software solutions. This role involves strategic oversight and direction, focusing on IEEE and Wi-Fi protocols to support the client’s advanced network infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Define and drive the strategic vision for MAC software development, with a focus on IEEE standards and Wi-Fi protocols (e.g., 802.11ac, 802.11ax, 802.11be).
- Lead and mentor a team of MAC software engineers, ensuring successful project execution and alignment with company goals.
- Oversee the design and implementation of MAC software solutions, optimizing performance and scalability.
- Collaborate with senior stakeholders, hardware engineers, and product managers to ensure seamless integration of software with hardware components.
- Ensure high-quality software development practices and adherence to industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Stay abreast of advancements in IEEE and Wi-Fi technologies, integrating new innovations into the company’s products.
- Provide expert technical guidance and support during system integration and deployment phases.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- 15+ years of experience in software development with a focus on MAC protocols (e.g., IEEE 802.11ac, 802.11ax, 802.11be), including 5+ years in a senior leadership role.
- Expertise in embedded systems, C programming, hardware register programming, and Wi-Fi technologies.
- Familiarity with Linux kernel preferred.
- Strong leadership skills, strategic vision, and exceptional communication abilities.
