You will become part of a dedicated 50-person team in the Sacramento area, while also collaborating with over 350 team members across California.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and oversee our geotechnical practice in Northern California, managing key projects and implementing effective risk management strategies.
- Collaborate with geology and geotechnical practice leaders, as well as other technical teams across the state, to ensure successful project execution and high client satisfaction.
- Drive business growth by managing strategic client relationships and focusing on the public market sector.
- Maintain a flexible work schedule with minimal travel, primarily within California and occasionally outside the state as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field; Master’s degree is preferred.
- Licensed Geotechnical Engineer (GE) in California.
- At least 15 years of experience with a proven ability to lead complex projects and teams.
- Expertise in seismic analysis, design, and retrofitting methodologies.
- Strong leadership skills with the capability to inspire and mentor team members.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with government agency projects and contracts, including water/wastewater, state and local agencies, school districts, energy/power, and transportation sectors, with a strong understanding of industry trends and client needs.
- Strategic thinker with a proactive approach to business development and client relationship management.
- Experience with levees and dams is a plus.
