Position Description Job Summary:
The Concrete Dispatcher is an essential part of the heart of the Summers-Taylor Concrete Division. The Concrete Dispatcher will constantly be in communication with Summers-Taylor customers, plant personnel and sales personnel. Working in a high call volume environment, the concrete dispatcher will spend nearly the entirety of the workday making and answering phone calls and managing electronic concrete dispatching schedules. The ideal candidate must exhibit excellent organizational skills, computer savviness and exceptional customer service skills. Having knowledge of the Hawkins County, TN area will be a plus.
Job Duties:
- Communicates professionally with outside customers, sales personnel, and plant personnel regarding scheduled deliveries.
- Must be able to accurately and confidently facilitate orders based upon jobsite locations and terrains, weather, truck capacities and timing parameters.
- Must always present exceptional customer service skills.
- Ability to communicate and answer customer comments, questions, and concerns.
- Must be able to think critically as issues and conflicts arise.
- Will assist with customer payments when necessary.
- Continuous monitoring, data entry, adding, and changing orders within scheduling software accurately and efficiently.

Position Requirements Job Requirements:
- Must be comfortable and confident working in a fast -paced environment.
- Must be able to work overtime and weekends as required.
- Computer skills and phone etiquette is required.
- Must be able to sit/ stand for an extended period in front of computer monitors.
- Prior experience in a dispatcher role, preferably in the concrete division, or equivalent industry experience.
- High school diploma required; college degree preferred, but not required.
- Willingness to work in a team environment and assist co-workers and or supervisors with other duties as needed.
- Must have a valid driver’s license.
- Must comply with drug screen, physical, and background check requirements.
- Spanish speak or bilingual is a plus.
