Position Summary
This position will function to provide guidance and support to the Operations department, while managing proposals, project management and working with scheduling, operations and engineering.
Position Responsibilities
The incumbent is expected to perform the following functions that the company has determined are essential to this position:
- Interact regularly with existing and prospective customers as the primary point of contact for automotive testing and related activities.
- Support rental/leasing of Proving Ground facilities including test tracks, garage, and office space.
- Schedule and coordinate daily test track and facility usage and maintain the FTTA testing schedule.
- Manage documents and processes related to test track operations including quotations, purchase orders, invoices, and legal agreements.
- Assist in the development and execution of business development and sales plans.
- Support sales activities including trade shows, marketing events, and the acquisition of new customers.
- Participate in the development of advertising materials such as brochures and websites.
- Support Business Development and Sales process which includes but is not limited to RFPs, proposals, and industry activities.
- Ability to learn and sell multiple service offerings including test track rentals and testing services.
- Utilize existing contacts to establish long term clients.
- Establish initial and follow-up contacts with identified key decision makers.
- Other tasks and duties as assigned.
Required Skills and Abilities
Essential Skills and Experience:
- 3+ years administration experience working with quotations, purchase orders, and other official documents/records.
- 1-3 years of experience in a Sales position with business development.
- Ability to generate new business and grow business with existing customers.
- Highly flexible and adaptable, self-starter, capable of working on multiple projects concurrently.
- Proficient computer skills and knowledge of current technologies (SharePoint, MS Office, Excel).
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Beneficial Skills and Experience
- Experience supporting vehicle testing at an automotive proving ground.
- Experience in Vehicle Dynamics, Chassis Controls, Active Safety, and Vehicle Durability.
- Knowledge of trends in mobility development.
- Creative ability to develop new ideas and content for marketing materials.
- Experience with event planning / coordination.
Education/Training/Certifications
- Associate’s degree in a business-related or relevant field required.
- Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field preferred.
Travel Requirements
- Approximately 0 - 10%
- Must be willing and available to travel to such locations and with such frequency as is necessary and desirable to meet business needs.
