Job Summary:
Our client, a leading engineering firm in Parsippany, NJ, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Engineer to join their dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in civil engineering and project management, particularly in the construction industry. The Project Engineer will oversee a range of engineering projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and meet all safety and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage engineering projects from inception to completion, ensuring compliance with project scope, budget, and timeline.
- Collaborate with project managers, architects, and other stakeholders to develop detailed project plans, specifications, and construction schedules.
- Oversee and coordinate the work of contractors, subcontractors, and other professionals to ensure high-quality work and adherence to project specifications and safety standards.
- Conduct regular site visits and inspections to monitor progress, quality, and compliance with safety regulations.
- Utilize engineering software such as AutoCAD, Autodesk Civil 3D, NitroPro, GSLOPE, KeyWall, and Rocscience for design and analysis.
- Prepare and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including technical reports, drawings, and specifications.
- Ensure all projects comply with relevant codes, regulations, and standards, including OSHA HAZWOPER requirements.
- Apply mathematical concepts, including probability, statistical inference, geometry, and trigonometry, to solve engineering problems and optimize project outcomes.
- Communicate effectively with clients, stakeholders, and team members to provide updates, address concerns, and ensure successful project completion.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
- Minimum of 5-10 years of engineering experience, with at least 5 years in project management.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license is required.
- 40-hour OSHA HAZWOPER certification.
- Valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation for accessing job sites.
- Strong understanding of mathematical concepts, including probability, statistics, geometry, and trigonometry.
- Proficient in engineering software such as AutoCAD, Autodesk Civil 3D, NitroPro, GSLOPE, KeyWall, and Rocscience.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Adobe software.
