Role Description
This is a full-time hybrid role for a Litigation Associate (Insurance Defense) wherein the ideal candidate will have 2+ years of experience defending casualty cases and appearing for depositions, court appearances and mediation. The role will involve working on a range of defense issues, and striving to bring closure to complex issues as quickly and efficiently as possible.
Salary range is 100k-150k and is commensurate with experience.
Qualifications
- Law skills, including experience in drafting motions
- Research skills to analyze complex legal issues, case law, and applicable statutes
- Depositions skills, including experience in preparing for and conducting depositions
- Court skills, including experience in arguing motions and conducting trials or arbitrations
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organizational and analytical skills
- Ability to manage a high volume of cases and work well under pressure
- 3+ years of experience in insurance defense litigation
- JD or LLM from an accredited law school
- Admission to the New Jersey bar. Additional admissions to Pennsylvania and/or New York bar a plus.
