Amotec is engaged in a search for a Distribution Planning Manager with our client, a leading manufacturer of consumer products. Reporting to the Site Leader, the Distribution Planning Manager will oversee 8 planners and is responsible for planning orders and shipments to improve efficiency. Our client offers a competitive base salary, profit sharing bonus and benefits.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure the timely and efficient coordination of product orders and shipments to meet customer demand and service level agreements.
- Monitor inventory levels to prevent overstocking or stockouts, ensuring optimal stock availability.
- Manage and mentor a team of planners, providing guidance on workload priorities, scheduling, and process improvements.
- Collaborate with various departments, such as production, procurement, and logistics, to streamline the supply chain and reduce lead times.
- Analyze distribution data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement, and provide regular reports to senior management.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years of experience managing a team in distribution
- Minimum 3 years of production planning experience
- Must have experience with SAP and WMS
