Job Description:
We are looking for an experienced Production Manager to organize and oversee the manufacturing of Glass Shower Doors from Float Glass. You will be responsible for the smooth running of all production lines and the quality of output. We are a well-Established Business.
We expect you to have deep knowledge in production procedures. Ability to direct personnel towards maximum performance will set you apart as a leader. Decision-making and problem-solving will be a key daily task. If you are up to it, we would like to talk to you.
The goal is to ensure an efficient and productive manufacturing process that meets customer requirements. We will offer a competitive base salary and bonus opportunity.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Consulting with other managers to formulate objectives and understand requirements of the business.
- Organizing workflow to meet specifications and deadlines.
- Inventory Management of raw goods
- Production output of finished good.
- Monitor production to resolve issues.
- Supervise and evaluate performance of production personnel (quality inspectors, workers etc.)
- Determine number of necessary resources (workforce, raw materials etc.)
- Approve maintenance work, purchasing of equipment etc.
- Ensure output meets an elevated level of quality standards.
- Enforce health and safety precautions.
- Report to General Manager.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Fulfills managerial responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Supervises employees such as Shift Managers or Supervisors. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and developing/training team members; planning, assigning, directing, and delegating work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining team members; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Requirements and skills
- Proven experience as a production leader or director level
- Deep knowledge of production management related to Float Glass Production and Tempering Equipment
- Understanding of quality standards and health & safety regulations
- Knowledge of performance evaluation and budgeting concepts
- Experience in reporting on key production metrics.
- Proficient in MS Office and ERP software
- Outstanding communication ability
- Excellent organizational and leaderships skills
- Diligence mindfulness of details.
- Strong decision-making skills and results-driven approach
- BSC/BA in business administration and or relevant experience preferred.
Minimum 5 plus years industry experience in Float
