What you'll do when you get here:
- Manage the day-to-day operation of the thermal test lab by managing the inventory of supplies such as sample packaging material/product, ice packs and refrigerants, etc. as well as setting up and executing environmental chamber testing of packaging solutions.
- Gain an in-depth understanding of cold chain packaging and laws of thermodynamics as they relate to designing an efficient and cost-effective thermal packaging solution.
- Work with the leadership team to identify goals related to testing new packaging materials and designs.
- Lead the designing and testing of new packaging solutions to identify viable new products for R&D and developing GTM strategies.
- Test packaging on a daily basis utilizing our Environmental Testing Chambers following both custom temperature profiles and ISTA profile standards.
- Design and customize packaging solutions that meet industry standards in terms of temperature thresholds and shipment durations.
- Perform thermal testing for customers to validate packaging solutions and support the sales team in providing test data they can use for their sales efforts.
- Provide consultative sales support to educate existing and prospective clients on how thermal packaging works and understanding their desired needs/goals to build an optimized packaging solution to meet their requirements
- Research, build, and present thermal testing reports and SOW's to explain findings of the environmental chamber testing results in a clear, concise, and organized manner for clients and third parties to easily validate proposed solutions based on the research and supporting evidence provided.
- Build and maintain a digital library of thermal test data that is organized and user-friendly to quickly locate relevant historical data
- Work with new vendors and potential suppliers to help bring new packaging solutions from ideation to production.
What is preferred:
- BA/BS degree or equivalent experience
- Strong analytical, research and organizational skills
- Experience working in spreadsheets, word processing, presentations and other related programs
- Dynamic, on the fly, problem solving skills
- Clear and confident communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and organizational ability
- ERP & CRM platform experience, preferably NetSuite
