Overview:
Neuro Trauma ICU is a comprehensive stroke center providing neurological and neurosurgical care for the adult patient population. Patient conditions include ischemic or hemorrhagic stroke, spinal cord injury, anoxic brain injuries and other diseases of the brain and spinal cord. The RN serves as an important component of the critical care team; responsible for close hemodynamic, medication, and ventilator monitoring, and treatment of patient complications related to neurological injury. The neuro trauma ICU is part of a 36-bed ICU with a 12-bed pod dedicated to stroke and neuro complications.
Our Neuro Trauma ICU provides the highest level of care to patients with complex neurological conditions. Our team is committed to staying at the forefront of utilizing evidence-based practice and constantly seeking new treatment option and best practice to improve patient outcomes.
Q ualifications:
Education: Must be a graduate of an accredited school of Nursing.
Licensure: Current Oklahoma RN License
Certifications: BLS & ACLS certified. Required certifications must be current before assigned to care for patients independently. NIHSS; if new to the unit nurse will obtain within the first three months of employment in Critical Care
Other: Completes Hospital and Unit Specific nursing competency within 3 months of employment and annually, submits to Nurse Manager/ Education Coordinator.
Preferred Education: BSN, preferred, NIHSS preferred,
Preferred Experience: Experience in Bolt Management, EVD management preferred

- $15,000 sign on bonus for full-time RNs with more than 1 year of RN experience, paid out over 2 years, $10,000 for new grad RNs
