Position Summary
Under the supervision of the Quality Manager and senior leadership, the Quality Supervisor is primarily responsible for leading the BRC Certification and Audit process. This role involves overseeing the development, implementation, and maintenance of plant quality systems in a cGMP-driven environment, managing customer, supplier, internal, and external audits, and ensuring compliance with BRC standards. The Quality Supervisor also assists in employee training to maintain product quality, supports the Quality Manager in supervising department staff, contributes to performance evaluations, and makes employment recommendations as needed.
Requirements
Knowledge and Skills:
- Expertise in leading BRC Certification and Audit processes
- Proficiency in English (speaking, reading, writing)
- Comprehensive understanding of cGMP in the healthcare sector
- Knowledge of validation programs, including IQ, OQ, and PQ
- Strong focus on safety
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and presentation tools
- Experience in SOP development and implementation
- Familiarity with equipment calibration
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing practices, including 5S and continuous improvement
- Ability to implement Kaizen methodology
- Ability to interpret customer specifications and technical drawings
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Mechanical aptitude
- Experience with inspections, testing, root cause analysis, and corrective/preventive actions
- Analytical, innovative thinker
- Strong decision-making, presentation, and training skills
- Intermediate math skills, including statistical inference and ratios
- Effective public speaking and communication skills
- Excellent color perception (must pass color perception testing)
