Specifically:
- Inspect incoming components to the mechanical, optical, and electronic specifications detailed in engineering drawings.
- Ensure material compliance with Reach, RoHS, and Conflict Minerals regulations.
- Operate within the confines of high-reliability manufacturing/cleanliness standards (ISO Class 100 Environment, IEST CC1246E Cleanliness, AS9100 & AS9003B Quality).
- Utilize automated production equipment to assemble qualification units for destructive and non-destructive testing.
- Perform destructive, non-destructive testing, and other advanced inspection techniques as required.
- Develop and implement inspection methods and procedures for incoming components.
- Recommend equipment purchases when new inspection requirements are introduced.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date inspection records and documentation, ensuring all inspection activities are properly documented and traceable.
- Analyze inspection data and prepare detailed reports on findings.
- Provide feedback to engineers when parts are found to be non-conforming.
- Ensure that personnel assigned to inspect incoming material are appropriately trained and have access to appropriate procedures and tools.
- Stay abreast of advancements in inspection technology and techniques through continuous professional development.
Requirements:
- B.S. degree in Engineering or related field.
- Minimum 1 year experience with electronic and/or optical technologies, measurement systems, and inspection tools.
- Minimum 4 years experience interpreting mechanical drawings and tolerances.
- Organized and methodical, with strong attention to detail.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
