Role and Responsibilities:
As a Lead Language Learning Designer at Tomo, you will:
• Play a crucial role in the early product definition of Tomo.
• Develop and design language learning curricula and content tailored for AI-driven delivery.
• Ensure the curriculum is pedagogically sound, engaging, and optimized for AI interactions.
• Collaborate with linguists and language experts to create effective learning pathways.
• Guide the AI to be an effective tutor by participating in prompt engineering and refining AI-driven lesson delivery.
• Update and refine existing content based on user feedback and the latest research.
Qualifications:
Educational Background:
• Advanced Degree: Master’s or Ph.D. in Applied Linguistics, Language Education, TESOL, Curriculum Design, or a related field.
• Certifications: Additional certifications in instructional design, educational technology, or language teaching are beneficial.
Professional Experience:
• Curriculum Design: Several years (typically 5-10+) of experience in designing language learning curricula and materials.
• Teaching Experience: Practical language teaching (can be languages other than English) experience in a classroom or online setting
• AI and EdTech Integration: Experience with AI-driven educational tools and a keen interest in leveraging AI to enhance learning experiences.
• Prompt Design: Familiarity with or willingness to learn AI prompt design to refine AI responses and improve the quality of AI-driven tutoring.
