Associate Attorney - Insurance Defense

Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Associate Attorney to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in insurance defense, excellent analytical and communication skills, and a passion for advocating on behalf of our clients. As an Associate Attorney, you will play a key role in managing cases, conducting legal research, and developing effective defense strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Handle a caseload of insurance defense matters from inception through resolution, including complex litigation and trial preparation.
- Conduct thorough legal research, analyze case law, statutes, and regulations relevant to assigned cases.
- Prepare and review legal documents including pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and briefs.
- Communicate effectively with clients, providing updates, advice, and strategic recommendations.
- Represent clients in court hearings, depositions, and other legal proceedings.
- Work closely with senior attorneys and partners to develop and implement case strategies.
- Engage in settlement negotiations and mediations to achieve favorable outcomes for clients.
Qualifications:
- Education: Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Experience: 3+ years of experience in insurance defense or a related area of law.
- Licensure: Admission to the Texas state bar
- Skills: Strong research, writing, and analytical skills. Excellent oral communication and negotiation abilities.
