Primary Responsibilities:
- Work on a variety of water/wastewater utilities projects.
- Serve as our Engineer of Record on design/construction activities for plants and/or pipeline projects.
- Preparation of engineering reports.
- Work on project design and permitting.
- Coordinate master planning-related tasks.
- Perform (outdoor) construction inspection work, when needed.
- Additional tasks may be assigned, as needed.
Basic Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering-oriented discipline (preferably Civil Engineering or Environmental Engineering).
- 4+ years of professional experience working in Engineering, preferably with infrastructure / utility projects.
- PE in FL (we will consider candidates who are able to successfully obtain this credential within 6 months of their start date).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working on infrastructure / utility projects, especially with wet utilities.
- Experience working on design and permitting activities.
- Proficiency with engineering tools (e.g.: CADD, GIS, analytical programs, etc.); experience with OpenFlows WaterCAD and WaterGEMS is a plus!
- Proficiency on all standard Microsoft Office software applications (especially Word, Excel, and Outlook).
- Proven ability to work in a team environment with minimal supervision while displaying a positive attitude.
- Excellent organizational skills, especially with a proven ability to work in a self-motivated manner while effectively multi-tasking and prioritizing multiple assignments.
- Excellent communication skills (verbal & written); technical writing skills are strongly preferred!
