An established, successful, and growing apparel organization is now looking to hire a new Director of Distribution, to work with the SLT (Senior Leadership Team), in helping to improve, evolve, and transform the company’s Supply Chain and blast the business to the next level. The role will take full accountability for the company’s East Coast network (Multi-Site Operation), and collaborate with multiple Senior stakeholders (internal and external) in managing both tactical day2day operations + senior strategic logistics projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all company’s entire East Coast distribution network
- Manage all inbound operations with multiple 3PL partners
- Partner, negotiate, and manage contracts with 3rd party providers
- Implement, develop and enhance system visibility tools
- Review monthly costs of Distribution Centers and Freight
- Manage day2day operations of 3PLs to ensure alignment
- Utilize Excel and SAP to perform analysts and run reports for Executive Leadership
The successful candidate will ideally have:
- Bachelor’s degree (ideally in an analytical subject)
- 5+ years Distribution experience
- SAP experience strongly preferred
- Retail/Fashion industry experience is preferred, but not essential
- Multi-Site Responsibility
- Strong process improvement & cost saving accomplishments
