Position Overview
Korn Ferry is exclusively conducting Vice President Data Analytics search for our client – a Private Equity backed leading SaaS platform that isexperiencing significant growth. They have an award-winning product offering in the fintech space that is used by millions of professionals globally.
As a strategic partner to the CFO, the VP is responsible for driving the vision, strategy, and execution of financial and related data analytics and reporting function to support informed decision-making and drive business performance.
This role will work with a high performing team of analysts and reporting specialists to identify, define and create analysis and reporting needed to drive business insights. The role will work in partnership with IT, Sales, Product and others to oversee the collection, management, and quality of data required for analytics and reporting.
Location: New York City OR Minneapolis (open for relocation – hybrid office arrangements)
Travel: Up to 25% depending on applicant’s location
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Establish Data Analytics COE within Finance Team
- Work with stakeholders to define a common vision, strategy and approach to data management, data analytics. Align all related teams and initiatives across the organization with the vision and strategy.
- Inform selection and drive adoption of advanced analytics tools and technologies to enhance capabilities.
- Develop and implement robust reporting strategies to track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) across various business functions.
- Ensure data integrity and accuracy for the data in the data warehouse(s) used in analytics and reporting by working with IT and data owners from source systems
- Leverage data analytics and AI to support the development of unique insights about our client’s business and their customers through qualitative and quantitative analytics including information on business growth, margin sustainability, and profitability.
- Provide employees with the capabilities to use data analytics and AI to generate insights and support decision making in their day-to-day jobs.
- Create an AI ecosystem of partners/vendors for leveraging external capabilities and capacity to achieve company business objectives.
- Develop the data analytics and AI skills, capabilities, processes, and tools for our client to apply advanced techniques to achieve its growth agenda.
- Remain abreast of competitive and market-based best practices create sustainable value and competitive advantage for our client’s business.
- Collaborate with executive leadership to align analytics roadmap with business goals and objectives.
- Foster a data-driven culture within the organization, promoting the use of data in decision-making processes.
- Partners with the Data Governance team to implement data governance policies and procedures.
- Recruit, develop and retain a high-performing analytics team Build successors and a team that meets the business needs now and for the future.
- Partner with stakeholders to raise awareness within the company on the importance / value of data analytics and AI capabilities.
- Build and maintain strong partnerships with stakeholder groups as part of establishing analytics and reporting strategies and roadmaps such as Data Management Team, Security, IT, Legal, Product, Sales.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant company policies, standards, and practices, such as Data Governance & Management, Security, and AI
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 10 plus years of experience in data analytics, business intelligence, finance, or a related field.
- 5+ years leadership responsibility leading teams.
- Proven track record of developing and executing data analytics strategies that drive business results.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team.
- Expertise in data governance, data management, and data integration.
- Proficiency with data analytics tools and technologies (e.g., SQL, Python, R, Tableau, Power BI).
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex information to non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience in the SaaS industry is highly desirable
- Strategic thinker with a passion for innovation and a commitment to driving positive change for the company through data analytics
- Excellent leadership skills, with a track record of building and managing high-performing data analytics teams, alongside the ability to motivate and inspire teams to achieve ambitious goals
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence and inspire teams across all levels of the organization
EDUCATION
Bachelor's Degree in Data Science, Finance, Statistics, Business Administration, or a related field required, Master's Degree preferred.
COMPENSATION
Compensation will be competitive and commensurate with experience. It will include a base salary and an annual performance bonus and long-term incentive
