A well-established firm in Nashville, TN has an immediate need for an E-discovery and litigation technologist. This position will be responsible for the project management, database management, and litigation support functions for a large national law firm. Candidates must be detail-oriented, thorough, and organized. This position is on-site only but is available at multiple locations throughout the Southeast including Atlanta and Nashville. Sample Responsibilities:
- Oversee and coordinate projects, developing and implementing plans for internal and external e-discovery and litigation technology solutions
- Advise and consult attorneys and clients regarding case needs and appropriate case technology plans
- Offer direct support to matter teams and clients on electronic discovery best practices and specific issues like data collection, data processing, AI-driven workflows, and document production
- Daily technical management and data tracking of client data between platforms
- Loading documents into document platforms and running productions post-review
- Assists with training and preparing manuals and instructions for training personnel in litigation tools and processes including in-house platforms and vendor-provided tools
- Identifies and corrects system and network issues related to litigation services and tools and works with appropriate vendors as needed
- Prepares project recommendations and plans for implementing the case technology plans and solutions
- Maintain regular, prompt attendance
- Work well with others as part of a team
- Perform other duties as assigned
Minimum and additional qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree, Associate’s degree or equivalent relevant experience may be considered in place of a degree
- Minimum of two years experience in litigation support
- Knowledge of Relativity, Concordance, and/or other e-discovery and litigation support platforms
- hands-on experience with leading eDiscovery review platforms (Relativity etc.) with an emphasis on database setup and a thorough understanding of the metrics and terminology to support and explain TAR, as well as basic knowledge of analytics-related statistics measures
- General knowledge of industry-standard data processing specifications, exception handling, and other data assessment techniques
- Thorough knowledge of the litigation lifecycle and eDiscovery processes
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Maintain a high degree of accuracy while possessing great attention to detail
- Ability to prioritize and work independently
- Work occasionally requires a high level of mental effort and strain when performing essential duties. Must be able to perform essential duties of the position with time constraints, interruptions, and stressed attorneys and staff
- Work may require more than 40 hours per week to perform the essential duties of the position.
- Work occasionally requires travel between offices and to complete firm-related duties
- Must be able to lift 25 pounds or the equivalent of a box of documents
