Protecnium is an international consulting firm specializing in engineering and technician services (www.protecnium.com/en). We are currently looking for a Project Field Engineer to join our team for a construction project.

- Estimated duration of the position: 5years - In general, when the project ends, we try to place the employee in other projects to give him/her continuity.
-Summary: the Project Field Engineer will be in charge of planning and coordinating technical engineering initiatives to make sure they can complete a project within their budget and according to a schedule. The duties include upholding project standards by researching compliance regulations, developing project implementation plans and adjusting specifications for elements of a project.
- Main Responsibilities:
- Complete engineering projects by organizing and controlling project elements.
- Develop project objectives by reviewing project proposals and plans and conferring with management.
- Determine project responsibilities by identifying project phases and elements, assigning personnel to phases and elements, and reviewing bids from contractors.
- Determine project specifications by studying product design, customer requirements, and performance standards.
- Complete technical studies and prepares cost estimates.
- Confirm product performance by designing and conducting tests.
- Determine project schedule by studying project plan and specifications, calculating time requirements, and sequencing project elements.
- Maintain project schedule by monitoring project progress, coordinating activities, and resolving problems.
- Control project plan by reviewing design, specifications, and plan, scheduling changes, and recommending actions.
- Controls project cost by approving expenditures and administering contractor contracts.
- Prepares project status reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends; recommending actions.
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment by enforcing procedures, rules, and regulations. Maintain project data base by writing computer programs; entering and backing up data. Maintain product and company reputation by complying with federal and state regulations.
- Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
- Shifts: Monday to Friday: 40 hours weekly.
- Requirements:
- A minimum of 7 years experience as a Project Engineer in maritime/ concrete structures/ or similar kind of projects.
- Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering or related.
