We are seeking a skilled Construction Litigation Attorney to join our Dallas office. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of experience in construction litigation and be adept at managing complex cases from inception through resolution. This role offers the opportunity to work on high-stakes litigation matters, develop litigation strategies, and play a key role in achieving favorable outcomes for our clients. We are in office 5 days a week, hybrid flexibility will come with tenure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Represent clients in construction-related litigation, including contract disputes, defect claims, delay claims, and lien enforcement.
- Develop and implement litigation strategies tailored to the unique aspects of each case.
- Conduct legal research, draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents.
- Manage all aspects of pre-trial discovery, including depositions, interrogatories, and document production.
- Prepare and present cases in court, including motion hearings, trials, and appeals.
- Collaborate with other attorneys, clients, and expert witnesses to build strong cases.
- Maintain strong client relationships and communicate effectively to provide updates and legal guidance.
- Stay current on developments in construction law and litigation practices.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
- Active and in good standing with the Texas State Bar.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in construction litigation.
- Strong understanding of construction contracts, industry practices, and dispute resolution processes.
- Excellent research, writing, and oral advocacy skills.
- Ability to manage multiple cases and work under pressure with strict deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and a proactive approach to case management.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with both state and federal court litigation.
- Familiarity with mediation and arbitration in the construction industry.
- Strong negotiation skills and a client-focused mindset.
