The position is based in our north suburban Chicago (Northbrook) office. This position is an integral part of our in-office environment.
Associate General Counsel
Full responsibility for managing the legal matters of the Company. Would have responsibility for contracts and contract negotiation, employment issues and other employment topics as they arise. Review domestic and international agreements. Would be responsible for public relations and advertising related topics from a legal perspective. Investigates and responds to a wide variety of requests for legal assistance from various departments within the company. Maximize revenue while minimizing legal and business risk.
Lead company personnel to ensure compliance. Handle and maintain corporate records.
Oversee outside counsel. Provides legal advice to all company departments.
Perform other related duties as necessary.
QUALIFICATIONS:
· Must have a Juris Doctor (JD) or equivalent law degree from an accredited institution and be licensed to practice law in the state of Illinois.
· 10 years minimum experience
· Experience in advertising law, marketing contracts, employment law, trademark law.
· Excellent written and oral communication skills
· Superb attention to detail
· Must be able to work with all levels of management
· Strong organization, problem-solving and analytical skills
· Strong ability to multitask, manage priorities and meeting deadlines
· Be able to work independently and as a member of teams
· Strong interpersonal skills
· Ability to work on complex projects with general direction and minimal guidance
