Project Manager – Traffic Engineer P.E.
Our client, a subsidiary specializing in traffic engineering and transportation design, is seeking a Traffic Engineer Project Manager (Professional Engineer license required) for a fully remote position.
Our client’s team offers expertise in access management, traffic and parking analyses, traffic circulation, parking design, ADA-compliance, and transportation-related design concepts. Ensuring the safe and efficient accommodation of the traveling public is crucial to the success of any development project.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience, a strong work ethic, a passion for learning, the ability to collaborate effectively within a team, and the capacity to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage projects, staff, and client relationships.
- Oversee and prepare traffic/parking studies, corridor planning, feasibility studies, and safety audits.
- Assist in the preparation of specifications, plans, construction schedules, impact studies, permits, and designs for projects.
- Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams on tasks such as work zone traffic, intersection design, traffic signal design, roadway signing and pavement marking plans, DOT access permitting, control plans, and traffic signal operations analysis.
- Coordinate with field inspection staff and serve as an on-site project representative.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering (required)
- PE, PTOE (desirable)
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Experience with expert witness testimony
- Familiarity with CTDOT design standards; NYSDOT/NYCDOT experience (desirable)
- Proficiency in CADD Software (MicroStation or AutoCAD)
- Strong work ethic with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
- Valid Driver’s License
