Summary/Objective
The Sales Manager will contribute to growing the business through both selling incoming inquiries, and finding/pursuing new clients through existing contacts, marketing initiatives and network building.
Essential Functions
· Create winning proposals that exceed expectations, through keen observation of client needs and pressure points.
· Foster strong connections to clients by replying to all correspondence in a timely manner
· Manage relationships with existing location partnerships. Strategically pursue and propose new location partnerships
· Always maintain a healthy pipeline that ensures achievement of established revenue targets
· Ensure accuracy in event planning using event software, CRM, and office calendar.
· Attend site visits, pre-planning meetings, and tastings as necessary to support the client’s needs and experience.
· Understand event cost structure and incorporates this into proposals to established profitability
- Maintain client confidence by using a positive and clear speaking voice, listen to and understand request, respond with appropriate actions, and provide accurate information in a timely manner

This position does not supervise staff
Work Environment
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and printers.
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.
This position requires the ability to occasionally lift office products and supplies, up to 20 pounds.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
Mon-Fri, 45-hour week schedule but please have some flexible weekend availability as some clients or events may need your attention.
Travel
Local travel to meet clients, site visits or events as needed. Must have transportation and a valid drivers license.
Required Education and Experience
· Minimum of 5+ years’ experience in catering sales in Los Angeles, CA with existing contacts/clients.
· Honest passion for food, knowledge of wine and beverage trends, and mad respect for amazing service
· Meeting deadlines, prioritize and perform a wide variety of tasks over the course of the workday
· Proficient computer and software skills using MS Office Suite and other company software
· Highly organization and detailed
· Experience reviewing sales reports and dashboards
· Self-starting, highly motivated, and able to work with minimum supervision
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills
· Ability to research, strategize, develop leads, social networking and produce sales
