Position Summary: Electronic R&D Engineer
Position Overview
As an Electronic R&D Engineer at FIT, you will be at the forefront of developing innovative electronic solutions for data communication. This role involves extensive research and development to create state-of-the-art products that meet the highest standards of performance and reliability. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design, engineering, and manufacturing, to bring new products from concept to market.
Responsibilities:
- Expertise in auto wire harness/cable assembly, connectors, and related assembly processes
- 5GAIoT: Experience with 224G data cable/assembly design, high-speed cable assembly fixture/tooling, and high-speed PCB design, including simulation and signal integrity analysis.
- Conduct cutting-edge research to develop new electronic components and systems for data communication. Stay updated with the latest technological advancements in the field.
- Design, prototype, and test new data communication products. Develop detailed design specifications and ensure products meet performance requirements.
- Work closely with internal teams, including design, engineering, and manufacturing, to ensure seamless integration of new products into production. Interface with external suppliers and partners to source components and materials.
- Provide robust technical expertise and support to the sales and marketing teams. Assist in resolving technical issues and answering customer inquiries related to data communication products.
- Create comprehensive documentation, including design specifications, test plans, and user manuals. Ensure all documentation is accurate and up-to-date.
- Develop and implement rigorous testing procedures to validate the performance and reliability of new products. Analyze test data and make necessary design adjustments.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget. Maintain clear communication with stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
- Identify opportunities for innovation and continuous improvement in data communication products. Propose and implement new ideas to enhance product performance and efficiency.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical engineering, Electronic Engineering, or a related field.
- 5-10 years of experience in electronic design and development, with a focus on data communication systems. Experience in a research and development environment is preferred.
- Proficiency in electronic design software (e.g., Altium, Cadence). Strong knowledge of data communication protocols and standards. Experience with signal integrity analysis and high-speed digital design, PCB layout and analysis.
- Proficient with engineering drawing tools, such as SolidWorks.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to analyze complex technical issues and develop effective solutions.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to clearly convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment. Strong collaboration skills and the ability to work with cross-functional teams.
- Meticulous attention to detail, ensuring high-quality and accurate work.
