Job Title – Field Service Engineer

What the Job looks like :
- Carry out troubleshooting and repairs for designated modalities, ensuring a high success rate in problem diagnosis, aligned with your training and experience level. Escalate issues when necessary and consistently improve your technical expertise.
- Gain proficiency in and conduct supervised calibrations and preventative maintenance on assigned modalities.
- Safely operate in confined spaces, including high-current and high-voltage modulators (20-50 kV, 1500A), utilizing peripheral vision for spatial awareness. The areas present possible physical risks; depth perception is essential.
- Safely work on a broad range of client products, including medical devices that emit high-energy ionizing radiation.
- Interpret and follow signal flow in blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
- Submit accurate and timely service reports, timesheets, expense reports, film badge readings, and other necessary paperwork.
- Manage inventory of parts following client objectives.
- Maintain company-leased equipment, including the company vehicle, parts, and tools, in proper condition.
- Perform additional related duties as assigned.
- Incorporate company values into all departmental responsibilities.
- Adhere to company policies, documentation standards, and procedures.
What you will bring:
- An associate’s degree or equivalent experience in Electronics, Physics, or a related field is required; a Bachelor's degree is preferred.
- Strong electro-mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Competency with computers is essential.
- Proficient in using test equipment and hand tools such as oscilloscopes and multimeters.
- Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices, including electrostatic discharge (ESD) protocols.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong customer service skills with a self-motivated, “can-do” attitude.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work both independently and in team settings.
- Professionalism and the ability to represent the organization positively.
- Flexible and adaptable, open to direction and feedback.
- Strong organizational skills to prepare reports and meet administrative deadlines.
- Willingness to travel and work irregular hours.
- Must uphold company values, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations, contributing to organizational quality.
- A valid driver's license in the home state is required.
