Senior Manager-Sales & Operations Planning

Our client, a global glass manufacturer, has created a new role to provide visibility into demand and capacity for their Automotive division. This Senior Manager will be the subject matter expert for demand planning, network optimization, and capacity planning while supporting various projects including monthly demand plans, consumption models, network and production strategy optimization, integration of new businesses and new product launches. This leader also facilitates each S&OP meeting to ensure the team is focused on the plan. This role is key to delivering an ongoing commercial review process and expediting the transformation steps required at the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Capacity Planning/Inventory Control including the implementation of new technology for execution.
- Execute process with Sales for clear demand planning.
- Lead monthly S&OP meetings with Operations and Sales.
- Lead quarterly meetings with the Senior Leadership Team (executives) to review Capacity and Demand Planning.
- Capture the status and challenges in the monthly dashboard to the S&OP committee teams.
- Ensure standardized templates and data sources are developed and executed each month. with the agreed calendar allowing issues and actions to be raised holistically to each department in advance.
- Leadership Expectations – Drive Results through strategic and regular communication, Manage and Engage Talent through clear expectations and development of skills.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management or related field
- CPIM or CSCP certification (APICS) desired
- 5 - 10 years related experience in Supply Chain or related field
- 3+ years related experience in Automotive Industry
- 3+ years of supervisory experience
- Excellent analytical, problem solving, and decision-making skills
- Working knowledge of modern manufacturing, material flow and improvement strategies and the ability to integrate those into operation
- Demonstrated understanding of financial systems and the key drivers within the manufacturing environment
- Strong organizational skills in strategy and communication at all levels and execution
- Excellent people skills and project management skills with the ability to openly convey information to team members in a timely, concise manner
- Proficiency with SAP
- Must have excellent understanding of Microsoft Office Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
