Multibillion dollar company located in central Houston is looking to add a strong data person to the supply chain team. Reporting to Pricing and Procurement this person will support databases and information. This position is where someone can learn and grow into other areas with supply chain.
Summary: The successful candidate will be responsible for the creation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of critical system data.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Any one position may not include all of the listed duties, nor do all of the listed examples include all tasks which may be found in positions within this classification.
- Candidates with a 4-year degree in business related field preferred
- Previous experience maintaining information in a large database preferred
- Must be highly motivated and able to produce quality work in a timely manner
- Strong excel skills, including but not limited to, VLOOKUP, SUMIF, and pivot tables are required
- SQL and query building experience is preferred
- Must be able to analyze and provide relevant feedback to improve current processes
- Ability to focus on multiple ongoing projects and daily requirements
- Candidate must have a strong attention to detail
- Must take direction well and be able to work well in a group environment
- Required to follow all company and departmental procedures
Qualifications & Requirements
- Minimum 2-3 years of information creation and updating in a database setting
- Ability to complete short-term and long-term tasks concurrently
- Must be able to connect with parts personnel to clarify needed data sets
- Required to follow all company and departmental procedures
- Clear communication in both written and verbal types
