One of our large telecommunications clients is looking for an Outside Plant Engineer. This role will include engineering routine and specific outside plant work prints as well as driving out to geographic territory to meet with customers, take field notes, and design facilities. Inputting field notes, pricing the project, reviewing the final design, and submitting for construction will also be a part of this role.
The day-to-day for this role will include designing upgrades, repairs, and enhancements to OSP telephony networks (all structures for aerial, underground and buried included). It will also include meeting with customers and completing Site Surveys (HBW/FTTP/Fiber), designing of HBW/FTTP/FTTC service order requirements and solutions within geographical location. Pricing out solutions and choosing the most cost-effective design will also be a part of this role.
