Primary Services is excited to announce the role of Senior Regulatory Analyst for a prominent client in the energy sector. This is a unique opportunity for an experienced regulatory professional to take on a critical role, ensuring compliance with the Florida Public Service Commission (FPSC) regulations. As a Senior Regulatory Analyst, you will play a vital role in coordinating and preparing filings, guiding the business on regulatory matters, and supporting key regulatory strategies. This position offers significant growth potential and the chance to work on impactful projects.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate the preparation and timely submission of FPSC regulatory filings and responses, both docketed and non-docketed.
- Provide regulatory support and guidance on compliance with FPSC rules, regulations, and filing requirements.
- Develop plans and responses for management and legal approval related to state and federal regulatory actions.
- Monitor and resolve issues related to National Electrical Safety Code (NESC) safety variances identified by the FPSC.
- Conduct special studies and analysis concerning business unit operations and performance.
- Coordinate budget preparation and monitor budget performance for the Director of Employee and Customer Support.
- Oversee and ensure compliance with all regulatory and legal requirements within the business unit.
- Prepare and present Executive Management Reports and other compliance-related documents.
- Conduct benchmarking research on best practices and make recommendations to improve processes.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Engineering, or equivalent experience with a High School Diploma/GED.
- 5+ years of experience in regulatory matters, including coordinating dockets, participating in rulemaking or other proceedings, and preparing filings.
- Experience in distribution operations and a background in regulatory environments.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a demonstrated ability in commercial and project management.
- Advanced communication skills and a strong commitment to integrity and compliance.
- Experience in providing oversight, analysis, and guidance to business units on regulatory matters.
- Ability to meet attendance and storm duty requirements, including working extended hours as needed.
