POSITION SUMMARY:
The Director, Supply Chain Management will be responsible for developing and executing supply chain strategies that align with the company's business goals and objectives. This role will have a significant impact on the company's operational efficiency, cost management, and customer satisfaction.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop and implement comprehensive supply chain strategies that support the company's growth and profitability.
- Oversee planning and procurement functions to ensure operational efficiency and effectiveness.
- Identify and manage supply chain risks, including supply and demand variability, and implement mitigation strategies.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and vendors to negotiate favorable terms and ensure quality and reliability.
- Develop and implement inventory strategies to optimize stock levels and minimize carrying costs.
- Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and regularly report on supply chain performance against these metrics.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
- Drive initiatives that promote sustainability and corporate social responsibility within the supply chain.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, finance, and product development, to align supply chain activities with business needs.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in supply chain management, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
- Proven track record of leading and transforming supply chain operations in a CPG environment.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, logistics, planning, and procurement.
- Excellent strategic planning and execution skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Proficiency with NetSuite software is highly preferred.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING ENVIRONMENT ACKNOWLEGEMENT:
Must possess mobility to work in a standard office setting and use standard office equipment, including a computer; vision to read printed materials and a computer screen; and hearing and speech to communicate in person and over the telephone. This is primarily a sedentary office classification although standing in and walking between work areas may be required. Finger dexterity is needed to access, enter, and retrieve data using a computer keyboard or calculator and to operate standard office equipment. Occasionally bend, stoop, kneel, reach, push, and pull drawers open and closed to retrieve and file information. Incumbents must possess the ability to lift, carry, push, and pull materials and objects weighing up to 20 pounds.
