Our client, a telecom company, is seeking a Lead Designer to join their creative team. The role focuses on planning, overseeing, and executing designs for various print and digital collateral materials to ensure strategic and creative goals are achieved at the highest levels. The Lead Designer will manage their own projects and review the work of others, collaborating closely with internal teams. This is a full-time role requiring both design expertise and leadership skills to ensure the success of multiple projects.
Responsibilities:
- Plan, oversee, develop, and execute design for print and digital collateral materials to meet strategic and creative objectives.
- Design personal projects while reviewing and refining the work of other team members within the department.
- Collaborate with the Creative Director and Copy team to inspire and lead teams of designers, art directors, and writers.
- Maintain a proven record of directing and executing design projects from inception to completion.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring deadlines and quality standards are met.
- Demonstrate passion and knowledge of design techniques, practices, and technologies, along with a strong work ethic and proficiency in design software.
- Take ownership of design discipline-specific work on projects, consistently creating complex, original design concepts.
- Collaborate frequently with departments such as Strategy, Insights, Project Management, Brand Management, Business Units, and Marketing to ensure project success.
Required Qualifications:
- Experience conceptualizing, planning, producing, and refining a diverse range of creative ideas/concepts, specialized graphics, and illustrative materials based on strategic briefs.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to manage deadlines, budgets, and quality control while leading projects.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, Animation, and After Effects.
- Experience with design systems and multi-channel digital-first approaches.
- Ability to manage assigned projects, overseeing creative work and presenting concepts to both internal and external stakeholders.
- BFA/BS (or equivalent experience) in design.
- Minimum of 3-7 years of related experience in design.
- Ability to balance creative excellence with the needs of the business owner and communication objectives.
- Demonstrates effective problem-solving skills while leading teams and managing project timelines and budgets.
- Strong visual, verbal, and written communication skills, with the ability to present design rationale during internal and external presentations.
