Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Voice and Unified Communications Specialist to join our team. This role is crucial for managing and optimizing complex multi-site VoIP networks and advanced voice systems. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience with Siemens/Unify, Cisco, and Avaya technologies, and demonstrate a deep understanding of voice mail and unified messaging systems.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and Implementation: Lead the design, implementation, and support of advanced voice systems, ensuring they meet business requirements and technical specifications.
Performance Optimization: Utilize tools such as Orion Solar Winds, Oasis, Comview, and Impact Technologies to optimize performance and plan capacity.
Wireless Communications: Manage technologies such as Spectralink and ASCOM, with a preference for experience in healthcare environments.
Project Management: Develop and execute roadmaps for migrating voice infrastructure, managing large projects, and ensuring successful execution.
Collaboration: Work collaboratively with different organizations and teams, translating business needs into technical solutions.
Problem Solving: Address and resolve complex problems within converged communications infrastructure efficiently.
Required Skills and Experience:
Experience:
Minimum of 5 years with voice teams and solutions, multi-site VoIP networks, and multi-vendor environments (Siemens/Unify, Cisco, Avaya).
Tools: Proficient with performance optimization tools such as Orion Solar Winds, Oasis, Comview, and Impact Technologies.
Wireless Tech: 5 years of experience with Spectralink, ASCOM, or similar wireless communication technologies.
Voice Mail Systems: 10 years of experience with Voice Mail and Unified Messaging systems, preferably Unify Xpressions.
Certifications: ITIL certification required; relevant industry certifications (Unify/Siemens, ITIL) preferred.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Management, or related field, or equivalent experience in Health Care IT Voice Network Management.
Skills: Strong problem-solving, analytical, interpersonal, and conflict management skills. Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
