The Sanitation Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating sanitation activities, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations, training sanitation staff, and maintaining quality assurance standards.
Essential Functions:
- Sanitation Protocols & Safety: Supervise day-to-day implementation of sanitation protocols and safety measures to achieve productivity and quality objectives, ensuring compliance with GSF and regulatory agency regulations (SSOP, GMP, OSHA, etc.). (30%)
- Pre-Operational Inspections: Oversee pre-operational inspections and start-ups to ensure timeliness and bacteria-free equipment re-assembly. (20%)
- Inventory Control Support: Provide support and relief (as needed) for daily inventory control of finished products and raw materials to ensure accurate and timely productivity data. (10%)
- 3rd Party Sanitation Supervision: Supervise the daily activities of 3rd Party contract sanitation teams, providing instructions and performance feedback to meet or exceed KPI objectives. (15%)
- Process & Equipment Problem Solving: Identify and resolve process and equipment issues to maintain sanitation, productivity, and quality levels. (5%)
- Efficiency Improvement: Develop new ideas and processes to improve cleaning efficiency and effectiveness, anticipating equipment or process changes. (5%)
- Audit & Assessments: Conduct regular audits of sanitation personnel to ensure proper methods and safety protocols are followed. (5%)
- Equipment Installation Support: Support and participate in new equipment installations through SAT and Sanitary Design activities. (5%)
- Performance Discussions: Participate in sanitation assessments, meetings, and discussions regarding overall sanitation performance. (5%)
- Other Duties: Perform other related and assigned duties as necessary.

- Food Manufacturing Experience
- Bilingual in Spanish and English
- Attention to Detail & Organizational Skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of food safety regulations
- Previous experience in a similar role is a plus
Education/Certification:
- AA degree in food science or business administration from an accredited vocational, technical, or junior college institution.
Experience:
- 3+ years of experience in Industrial Food Sanitation with lead or supervisory experience.
